We arrived in Whitehorse on Wednesday March 30th. Lauren went into work on Thursday (albeit just to say hello and look around a little), and she will start work tomorrow morning. So we saw this as our last long weekend of our month-long vacation. As long weekends are usually celebrated, we made the most of it, and took time to nap and sleep in a little (Colin more then Lauren, but that's okay).
The weekend consisted of of a lot of wandering (in town and on the trails near our apartment), some in-town chores (5 minute walk to town to apply for health cards, do voter registration, get library cards, community garden plot application, thrift store shopping), some great meals, and even a little entertainment (Banff Mountain Film Festival at Yukon Arts Centre). The slideshow below helps to illustrate:

Our brains are slowly becoming acclimatized to our new surroundings, but we haven't totally shaken the feeling that this can't be our regular lives. The openness here is incredible, and sure feels different.
Hope you all had a happy weekend,
Colin and Lauren
