One Day To Go - then we belong to the road

Well, we have officially finished our respective jobs in Ontario. Lauren worked her last day on February 28th and I worked mine today. Saying goodbye/see you soon to the Rouge was hard, a bit teary, but I was encouraged by the promise of new adventures and a very active and dedicated FRW staff that are going to be pushing forward on this year's lofty goals.

Our big sister Jenn is in the airport lounge in Nassau about to get on the plane to visit us one more time before we drive out of town on Friday morning.

Last night we had our last meal in the Beaches, delicious (gluten-free!) shroves thanks to Cathy and Kevin. It is going to be hard not knowing when the next home-cooked meal made especially for us, catered to this week's diet and followed by the hug of a mother-in-law, will be.

So to update you all, we have...
- moved off of the Danforth and into Mom and Dad O'Neill's in Scarborough
- loaded and wrapped two skids, ready for shipping to Whitehorse (we didn't know we had so many posessions- we would make awful monks)
- loaded the car (we can still see out the back window - safety first!)
- serviced the car (being done as I write)- seems we did need a brake job, possibly due to the extra weight in the back now
- stocked the fridge for the Last Supper (Thai Chicken) and for the last breakfast (peameal and fresh cheap fruit). Check this out: http://www.realcanadiansuperstore.ca/LCLOnline/flyers_landing_page.jsp?categoryId=200007  $10 for a mango?!?
- made up our last LCBO and Beer Store shopping lists, currently in my pocket

And we have two nights until we are on the road. Friday morning the car leaves the driveway- first stop Orono for an early birthday breakfast with our favourite nine year old nephew, and first night in Wawa (if the weather cooperates).

Keep looking back here for updates and photos.

Take care all, this is going to be fun.
Colin
