Great days and nights

There are only three days until our pals Samantha and Tricia arrive for a visit, and they are sure coming at a great time. Fireweed is blooming, there's lots of sun, the dogs are really fun and affectionate, and we just learned how to bake dandelion petal cornbread! And the dogs are great at bikejoring. We are going to bring Cookie and Smiley to Deb's together, and then head out on a roadtrip to Alaska, close to Skagway. Then we're hanging out downtown at the market with Colin, and then some fun at home, and then to Dawson!

We're going camp with Tricia and Sam near this beach in Alaska, where the gold rushers started off on the Chilkoot trail , on their way to Dawson. I hear it's less busy now

This website has an archive of the Klondike Nugget, a newspaper from Dawson. This photo came from there!

Colin's has taken some great photos lately, and they will get posted soon. It's a rainy day here, and we have been inside more than usual, so computer things are getting done. Like great Skype conversations! We are also inside lounging, tidying up and listening to Jack Johnson.

Here are some of the beautiful things we have seen here lately:

Happy Saturday!

Bye for now,
Lauren
