Another try...

A Skype conversation with Bill and Suanne this morning inspired me to spend a bit of time writing a blog about our first year here. Then as soon as I got these photos from yesterday uploaded, I just couldn't seem to sit still and type while seeing how nice it is outside. The curse of the Yukon spring- indoor activities are not possible until the evening! We don't have any plans tonight, so I will be back at this soon :)

Welcome back to work, clothesline!

Cookie and Smiley are so excited to have new, unfrozen things to sniff

Didn't lose the dogs yesterday- we went for a hike around Robinson and they stayed with us!

Some of last year's cranberries are showing up- they're fermented and extremely 'unique' tasting. I could only eat one, and left the rest for the bears :)

Smiley always watches Cookie on our hikes, to see where the adventures are to be had

Hopefully Bill will have some suggestions on successfully photographing huskies when he and Suanne visit!

Big moose tracks

Hi moss! Nice to see you again!

Someone carved this in a stump at our place- at any other time of year other than Easter, it's a bit scary :)

We shared a taste of Toronto with our Yukon pals this year- these Easter eggs are a Knowles family tradition, with a recipe adapted from the Toronto Star in the 1990s

Colin's going to teach me how to drive Kim's truck today! We're starting with the basics :)

I promise to try again soon!

Happy Saturday,
Love Lauren
