Here they are, our girls :)
Our first family car trip. They were pretty comfortable in the back of the car, and didn't bark or drool heavily. Success! |
Having a snack in their new digs. Deb said that we could get animal joints from the grocery store for them to chew on to clean their teeth!
Out for a walk around Robinson subdivision, a 4.5km loop. Colin is only walking both dogs at once for the sake of the photo- they are much easier to manage individually |
They are both strong pullers, and we can't wait to attach them to bicycles, toboggans, and ourselves with skiis on! |
We're walking them with the harnesses for a little while, until they reliably come back to us when we call. But the harnesses mean 'pull' to them, so for the sake of our shoulder joints, we hope they are trained soon! |
So far, Cookie (grey one) has tried to escape the most, and has the softest face. Smiley (black and white) is really affectionate and also nervous. We both had the best time with them today and can't wait to get to know them better.
Bye for now,
Lauren and Colin
Mum says “does that make us grandparents?”

ReplyDeletenice work on the shelters. Piers + door trim duly noted.
ReplyDeleteHey Guys,
ReplyDeleteNice pups! They seem like they will be a bunch of fun and will definitely drag you out for long walks. They are even kind and gentle around that shaggy mountain man that came outta the bush to pet them in that last pic! (Haha!) Take care, hope you are enjoying your new digs.
